The Mavjat Multispecialty Hospital in Palanpur was honored with the "Outstanding Contribution Award" at the Healthcare Owners' Conclave, Ahmedabad on July 6, 2024. The awards were given out by Shri Rushikesh Patel, Hon’ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat.

The multi-specialty Mavjat Hospital, the first of its kind in North Gujarat, has been set up by the Shri Chunilal Mangalji Choksi Charitable Trust (SCMCT). The project was part of the vision of Late Shrenik Chunilal Choksi, and was established to fulfil the dreams of his parents, especially his mother.

The hospital has a total built-up area of 65,000 sq ft and has a capacity to treat 50 in-house patients as well as advanced facilities for dialysis and cardiac care. It was inaugurated on 1st March 2015 by the then Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat Smt. Anandiben Patel in the presence of Shri. Haribhai Chaudhary, Minister of State for Home, Government of India, and other dignitaries. 

The HOCON event included a number of informative sessions with presentations and discussions on the role, functioning and challenges of private hospitals in India, and an Awards function. The ‘Outstanding Contribution Award’ was received on behalf of the hospital by senior officials and members of the Local Committee.
